Job Description:

As the Head of Business Development, you will play a strategic leadership role in driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base across industries. You will be responsible for leading and developing the business development team, designing go-to-market strategies, and ensuring alignment between commercial activities and our company’s long-term goals in the market research industry.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall business development strategy to drive revenue and market share growth
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients across sectors (e.g., FMCG, financial services, tech, government, etc.).
  • Lead strategic proposal development, including pricing strategies and customized research solutions
  • Collaborate with research, marketing, and product teams to develop tailored market research offerings
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals or partnerships.
  • Build, mentor, and manage the business development team to achieve performance targets.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and market intelligence to the executive team.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
    Drive client retention through proactive account management and consultative selling.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably in market research, consulting, data analytics, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing sales or business development teams in a Market Research Company.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent understanding of market research methodologies and how they provide value to clients.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Strong network and understanding of corporate client needs in Indonesia (or your target market).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (or local market language, if applicable).
  • Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.
