We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Finance Business Partner (FBP) Manager with a strong background in commercial finance and tax advisory, ideally honed in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments. This role is critical in bridging financial insights with strategic business decisions, while ensuring tax compliance and optimization. You’ll work closely with department heads and external stakeholders to influence business performance and support sustainable growth.
What will you do:
- Manage the organization's accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate tax risks.
- Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluations to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and assess the organization's financial health and profitability.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and comply with audit requirements.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend improvements as needed.
- Lead and manage the accounting and tax team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper delegation of tasks, efficient workflow, and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process.
- Collaborate with auditors, provide necessary documentation, and address audit findings and recommendations.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and recommend appropriate upgrades or new solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial and tax regulations, including statutory filings, tax returns, and government reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
What will you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting and tax roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax planning, tax provision, and tax strategy development.
- Experience with international tax matters and transfer pricing is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business decision-making.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and tax software is beneficial.
- Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively lead and develop a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial and tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach to work, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Ability to review and analyze financial statements and tax returns for completeness and compliance.
- High level of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) are highly preferred.
- Fluent in English.
