We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Finance Business Partner (FBP) Manager with a strong background in commercial finance and tax advisory, ideally honed in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments. This role is critical in bridging financial insights with strategic business decisions, while ensuring tax compliance and optimization. You’ll work closely with department heads and external stakeholders to influence business performance and support sustainable growth.
What will you do:
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to business units, providing insights and support for planning, forecasting, and both business and finance performance analysis.
- Deliver actionable recommendations that drive commercial outcomes, leveraging deep financial and operational understanding.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational realities.
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support strategic decisions.
- Provide business cases and investment appraisals for new initiatives, partnerships, or market entries.
- Act as a change agent to improve processes, systems, and controls across finance and operations.
- Manage all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and risk mitigation (including corporate tax, VAT, WHT, and transfer pricing where applicable).
- Collaborate with external advisors on complex tax matters and regulatory updates.
- Support audit and statutory reporting processes in conjunction with accounting and tax teams.
- Stay update with local and international tax regulations and advise on their impact on the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7+ years of experience, with a proven track record in:
- Finance business partnering or commercial finance
- Tax consulting (preferably with Big 4 or reputable tax advisory firm)
- Working in a startup or agile, high-growth company environment
- Strong understanding of financial and tax regulations, compliance, and planning.
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
- Advanced Excel/financial modelling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional language(s) a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building efficient finance functions in growing organizations.
- Demonstrated success in environments requiring agility, adaptability, and speed.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and with corporate executives.
