What you will do:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
 - Collaborate with the management team to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making
 - Mantain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end closing activities. Review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
 - Conduct financial analysis, evaluate financial data, and provide recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization
 - Established and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
 - Monitor the ERP implementation and prepare the gap analysis and any necessary improvement plans
 - Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely and accurate provision of requested documentation. Address audit findings, implement recommendations, and maintain effective audit trails
 - Assist in tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns, supporting schedules, and reconciliations. Stay updated on tax regulations and changes to ensure accurate and timely filing
 - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting
 
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
 - 3-5 years of experience as an accountant or in a similar role, ideally at a top-tier accounting/consulting firm, in a finance and accounting department for a high-growth organization, or in a startup environment
 - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
 - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel
 - Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management
