What will you do:

The Brand Partnerships & Monetization Lead is responsible for building and scaling monetization strategies across the company’s digital platforms, products, and media assets. This role drives commercial growth through strategic brand partnerships, innovative media solutions, and data-backed revenue models.

You will work closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, and Content teams to create monetization opportunities that align with the company’s product roadmap and overall business goals.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Monetization Strategy & Growth

  • Build and execute scalable monetization models for digital products, media channels, and content platforms.
  • Identify and test new revenue opportunities (e.g., sponsored content, API partnerships, ad-tech solutions, co-branded campaigns).
  • Develop pricing strategy, monetization frameworks, and go-to-market plans for partnership solutions.

2. Brand & Commercial Partnerships

  • Secure High-impact strategic partnerships with brands, agencies, tech companies, and platform partners.

  • Create partnership packages and commercial offerings aligned with platform capabilities and user insights.

  • Own full partnership lifecycle: prospecting → pitching → negotiation → contract → onboarding → performance review.

3. Media & Platform Commercialization

  • Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Content teams to optimize media inventory and user touchpoints for monetization.

  • Drive revenue from digital assets such as streaming content, newsletters, in-app placements, community channels, and media products.

  • Ensure all partner activations are executed smoothly with measurable outcomes.

4. Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Lead a cross-functional team with responsibilities spanning partnerships, media strategy, and monetization operations.
  • Build agile workflows, experiment-driven processes, and rapid feedback loops typical of startup environments.
  • Work closely with Finance and Data teams to forecast revenue, analyze performance, and optimize conversion rates.

5. Data, Insights & Reporting

  • Set KPIs for revenue, partnership growth, and campaign performance.
  • Use data and experimentation to iterate on monetization approaches and improve partner ROI.
  • ​​​​​​​Provide monthly and quarterly performance reports to leadership.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Management, or related field.

  • 7–12 years experience in commercial partnerships, growth, media strategy, or monetization within tech, digital media, or startup ecosystems.

  • At least 3 years managing cross-functional or commercial teams.

  • Demonstrated success in securing brand partnerships and driving digital revenue growth.

  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, including:

    • content monetization

    • performance marketing

    • ad-tech or mar-tech tools

    • media buying/selling dynamics

    • platform analytics

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments with rapid iteration.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and build data-driven strategies.

  • Experience crafting monetization experiments, pilots, and A/B tests is a plus.

  • Existing network with brands, agencies, and tech partners.

  • Experience working with digital communities, content creators, or media platforms.

  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics, CRM tools, product-led growth, or revenue forecasting models.
